My research focuses on soil erosion, N & C biogeochemistry cycle mechanism and modelling. During my PhD research, I focused on soil erosion and non-point source pollution. I developed a controllable indoor "wind-driven rain" experiment setup to study the effects of different rainfall intensities, wind speeds, and wind directions (headwind, crosswind, tailwind) on slope runoff, sediment, and nitrogen loss. Based on these studies, I constructed a model using KINEROS2. During my postdoctoral work, I became involved in projects related to rice straw return and soil carbon cycling, which sparked my interest. I aim to deepen my understanding of the intrinsic mechanisms of soil carbon turnover at a micro level and estimate and regulate the role of agricultural ecosystems in carbon neutrality on a large scale.
