Training courses on the matrix approach to modeling land carbon and nitrogen cycles. NSF, 2018-2022 (PI)

In the past few years, we have developed the matrix approach, which has been shown applicable to almost all biogeochemical models. Moreover, the matrix approach offers a suite of new diagnostic tools for model uncertainty analysis, accelerates model spin-up, enables pool-based data assimilation, and becomes a theoretical cornerstone of biogeochemistry. This project is designed to run a short training course annually in the next five years on matrix approach to modeling land carbon and nitrogen cycles.
