Research Areas:
Main Research Direction:

Master period: focus on community diversity, biomass, productivity, photosynthetic physiology, stoichiometric ecology, etc. of tropical forest ecosystem in Yunnan Province, China.

Doctor period: focus on the change of structure, function and progress of steppe and ecological response under the impact of climate change and human activities based on SPSS and the Ecological Model, etc., in Inner Mongolia, China.

Working period: focus on change process and mechanism of natural ecology system,the impact of climate change and human activities on land terrestrial ecosystem and their response, simulation of water and carbon cycle on different time and space scales, etc.

My research for the last more decade years has been largely concerned with land surface ecosystem. More than half of the natural ecosystems have been destroy over the last millennium and the area increases every year in China, such as tropical forest, northern grassland, and wetlands all over the country, which have resulted to heavy patch and change of ecological patterns. The focus of my research have been on understanding how changes the structure, function and progress of natural ecology systems in these human-disturbed and climate-impacted landscapes and what factors determine the potential changes of landscape when human impacts are reduced.
